A premature or NICU loss is the passing of a baby who was born too early or who experienced serious medical complications requiring care in a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). These losses can include babies born extremely premature, babies who pass away while receiving NICU care, and babies who develop complications such as breathing difficulties, infections, brain injuries, or other conditions related to prematurity or critical illness. 

This page is a place to honor the tiny fighters who spent their precious time fighting to stay and the families who loved them through every moment; and continue to do so. Their time may have been short, but their lives are meaningful, their love was real, and their stories deserve to be remembered. Every tiny fighter matters, and every family deserves to know they are not alone.
